Mo’ Fire
A while back, I heard a preacher talk about a time he went on a float trip in Africa. He was riding some of the roughest rapids in the world with some other friends of his. A little African man was their guide for the trip. The first set of rapids are not as tough as some of the rest, so that new people can get warmed up. They went over the first set with little trouble, which they of course, being Americans, thought was exciting. They were congratulating each other and backslapping and high-fiving when the guide got a little excited himself. He roared out to them “MO’ FIAAARRRR!!!!!” Needless to say, that got their attention. It happened again after the second rapids.
A new Christian often hits the first little bump in the road and gets excited. Or he makes his first accomplishment, maybe witnesses to someone, or sees a prayer answered. But he must always remember to have Mo’ Fire in his life for the Lord.
