Wit or Wisdom

But never both.

Dear President Obama,

If you are going to keep spending billions on this so-called “stimulus,” then kindly make equal opportunity for all and give me some of the money. I promise I will use it on better things than the bank executives. Things like gasoline, food, electronics, and even college. Things that stimulate the economy. At least according to your model.

I am sure I can find several million other Americans that could use the money as well, and it would no doubt be good for the nation.

Sincerely,
Harrison

  2. Dear Harrison and Baptist Blonde,

Please give President Obama a chance. He faces very big challenges, and we will not agree with many things he does, but the Bible tells us to pray for our leaders. I prayed for President Bush even though I did not vote for him. I certainly disagreed with many of his policies, but I still respected him as the president of our country.

    • Anne,

The fact that the President faces big challenges is no excuse for him to lie, cheat, and mislead the American people about those challenges and the way he is handling them. It is no excuse for him to use a completely disproved theory of economics to try to solve the problems. I think he has had sufficient chance. I’m fairly certain that he has no interest in what God has to say about it. I am praying for him. And I do respect his office.

  3. Anne,

I pray for President Obama, too.
But I still don’t agree with what he stands for and what he’s doing to out country.
And I respect the office he’s in….I just don’t believe he’s the best person for the job.
